Driving alone cross-country is a tough job. I have great respect for these kings of the road. Mark Twain did long haul before he became a writer. Although he drove a steamboat instead of a big rig but the parallels are obvious. Both drivers have to read their paths like a book. Knowing every inch of the stream or highway is important and both drivers excel at predicting the future path. Anyway on my journey from Minnesota to California I started thinking. I mean you can only crank tunes for so long. I thought about engines. One idea was a variable compression ratio engine. I thought the cylinder head might move up and down. Fast forward a couple of months here I am at a desk taking another journey this one has me behind a computer screen instead of a windshield. The computer's ideas are more complete . Turns out Envera LLC has a plunger system to change the compression ratios in future engines. I feel proud my ideas are on the same wavelength as engineers although at a lower level.
