What form should Reader's Diesels take?

The diesel enthusiast crowd is a very diverse group. Some are interested in pulling and going fast while others would rather take their time and get good fuel mileage.  From practical to radical diesel owners want different things from their vehicles.  The way Reader's Diesels is setup now reminds me of a car show in a small town.  You never know what's going to show up.

If it was up to you would you like to see the Reader's Diesels section of Diesel Power turn into a competition with different categories or mini vehicle biographies?

Competition Structure
What kind of categories would you want? For example most mileage, best/worst appearance, best utility, fastest, slowest, best fuel economy etc.

Vehicle Biography
Vehicles live interesting lives. Stories about an old truck easily turn into legends.

Biography Example:

The truck pictured is owned by Dan Demetre from Tularosa, New Mexico.  It is an '83 Ford Ranger with a 2.2L Mazda (Perkins) engine.  The little engine is tough because it has  a forged crank, gear driven cam and injection pump, two oil filters and holds two gallons of oil. Dan gets 29 to 35 mpg. Interestingly enough 58 hp once hauled 1,950 pounds of scrap iron to the recycler. The air conditioner doubles as a Jake Brake. Not bad for a $300 investment.
