Edmunds' Inside Line is reporting that a small test fleet of police patrol vehicles in the Philippines are going to do a trial test of running on a blend of 60 percent petro-diesel, and 40 percent on used French Fry oil. The project is a joint venture between the Makati Police Department and the Mapua Institute of Technology.

McDonald's was the first donor to offer used cooking oil, although the program will be open to other vendors willing to contribute. The trial program will initially run for six months.
