It looks like this Super Duty owner (see photo) was one Freightliner and a flat-bed trailer short this day. It also looks like this Super Duty owner was more than willing to give the truck a chance to live up to it’s name. The owner claimed that the combined tractor and trailer weight was 32,000 pounds, putting it well over the recommended gross combined trailer weight rating from Ford. Let’s just hope he was able to bring this behemoth to a safe stop!
Being that diesels these days easily make half the torque that much larger semi engines do, it’s easy to get carried away. So, let’s hear your over-loaded stories. How much have you hauled in the bed of your truck or towed down the highway? How did the rest of the truck hold up as opposed to the engine? Have you ever been ticketed for being over-weight? Or worse?
