Deciding Which Way To Go

Searching for the Perfect Project Vehicle Name…

Our next move for our ’97 Power Stroke project vehicle seems to be on hold. One reason for this is directly linked to a rusty old sleeper of a Dodge...

With rumors circulating that it may become a little too wild to remain a daily driver in the near future, we’re leaning toward making our old body style a tow vehicle.

For future articles, and reference, should we give our ’97 Ford a project name? It seems kind of lost, or out-of-place not having a designated name sitting in Diesel Power’s parking lot… Any suggestions?

Assuming that we plan on the “tow vehicle” idea (or, “Rust Bucket’s Chauffeur”), we’ll be looking into building the transmission up, affordably. In addition, we’ll need to bite the bullet, and add an intercooler if we plan to tow for long (1st gen Power Strokes can get plenty hot), especially with some of the grades/elevation changes that surround us.

Let us know what you think… Project names? Towing mods?
