Check Oil

After putting down some healthy runs, we noticed a small black puddle near the front of the dyno, then connected the dots on the concrete back to his Super Duty.

I’m sure the first question he asked himself was “where could the oil be coming from?”

Well, the oil trail was traced back to the High Pressure Oil Pump (HPOP), where he found a bad seal – a cheap fix, and not catastrophic. Engine/operating failures can be entertaining when a crowd of people begin to diagnose what happened without taking a closer look. “Bad rear main seal?” “Leaking high pressure oil line?” “Turbo Leaking Oil?”
