I’ve always liked the fact that diesels are the last line of defense, the end-all be-all, you know… the tow trucks of the world. Situations like these remind me that there will always be a need for diesels…
Granted, this is not what this John Deere was built for (and this situation is hardly comparable to the kind of torque it takes to dig up the earth). As most diesels are usually overkill for the job they were intended to do, I’m sure this Deere didn’t even know it was hooked to anything. I can hear the operator now: “Alright, where do ya want it?”
So, how about your “getting un-stuck” stories? Care to share them? Were you the tow truck or the one stuck in the mud, snow, river, lake, trail, sand or hill? Or Worse?
