While the long-awaited arrival of a new Volkswagen TDI Jetta sedan or wagon has us anxious, we’re wondering where to travel to to see if it does indeed get 41 mpg on the highway...

So, our question to you is, where should we travel? We’ve kicked around ideas of driving to North Carolina and back, an idea which Jason Thompson ingeniously titled “40 Down 40” (40 mpg down I-40, then back!). We also considered a loop through the Midwest and back, possibly even stopping by CAT’s main headquarters, or even John Deere’s, if either would have us.

At this point, it’s up in the air still. So where do you think we should go?
