What would you run?
Would it be a Duramax running a turbo reducer (bushing) (Reason: Duramax turbos are too big for the 2.6-inch diameter inducer class from the factory)?
Would it be a common-rail Cummins?
While the new-age common-rail would seem like a logical choice, the main drawback with this idea is that most sanctioning bodies’ rules don’t allow the use of twin CP3 injection pumps (which may change at some point). However, companies like Industrial Injection and Floor It Diesel Performance have good, high-flow single CP3 units.
Or, would it be an old-schooler?
That’s right, a proven P-pumped 12-vlave?
Obviously, the P7100 has many years of R&D behind it to say the least, as do the 12-valve engines…

According to NADM’s rulebook, here are your parameters:
-Single Turbo
-8,000 pound max truck weight
-No. 2 diesel fuel only (no nitrous, water/meth, or propane)
-Complete interiors (and at least both front seats)
-DOT street tires
-OEM engine blocks (no block filler)
-OEM rear end housings
-OEM transfer case
-OEM appearing transmission (built autos and aftermarket clutches permitted)
-OEM wheelbase
-OEM truck body and frame
