They are going to try to put this on once a month, and at least once every two months. They invite anyone with a diesel pickup to come out and drag race the 1/8 mile. Rumor has it that an impromptu matchup between Texas Diesel Power’s Funny Car and their own dragster might happen toward the end of the night as well.
According to Dr. Performance, awards will be presented to 1st and 2nd place, best reaction time in eliminations, and fastest ET in eliminations.
Growing up where I did, there were rarely opportunities like this in mid-November due to weather conditions, so if you live in the Dallas, Fort Worth or surrounding areas, I would highly recommend attending. Now, if we could just get a shop to put together a monthly diesel event in southern California... we would be in heaven. Hmmm…
