Have you had the pleasure of playing tow truck yet this winter season? After the first big snow back home, some friends and me would always cruise around half the night playing in it, and looking for vehicles to pull out. On most occasions, we’d end up having to pull each other out at some point in the night.
Two winters ago, I managed to dig myself a deep hole in a ditch during a blizzard. Thankfully, a friend was with me–and we had gotten stuck close to my parents house, which was where his truck was. He took off in a full sprint to get his Super Duty, and after a couple of high-speed face-plants in 10-inches of snow, he made it to his truck in one piece, got his truck and got back to me, hooked on, and pulled me out. Then, two minutes later, he got himself stuck (big time) half way out in a field. It took me a good 30 minutes to get him out, and I felt bad for all the neighbors having to listen to two cackling Power Strokes rapping 3,000 rpm for a solid half hour… at 3 a.m.
I wish I had pictures of that night, and so many others.
Man, I hope there’s a foot of snow on the ground when I go home for Christmas!
