Here’s some timely info for you before turkey day is upon us…

Did you know that processing the remains/leftovers of all turkeys consumed in the U.S. could provide up to 30 million gallons of diesel? !!! According to The History Channel, 30 million gallons of diesel fuel could power the U.S. for a day and a half.

ConAgra and Changing World Technologies in Carthage, Missouri, handles 200 tons worth of inedible turkey parts a day, and through thermal conversion, produces petroleum.

In addition, the bone marrow, a thick, epoxy-like substance, can be used as fertilizer in large-scale, agricultural applications.

Go turkeys! Fill our stomachs, then fill our tanks!

-Happy Thanksgiving
