This is what happens when a turbo and a piston engine decide to switch jobs.

The Turbocombustion Engine is 80% efficient. That is twice as efficient as the best production engines available today. This engine's website has some amazing graphics that show how the motor works. Basically combustion takes place...

Wow this is really hard to explain, go to the website and take a look for yourself. I sat and watched for about a half hour.

Features

1. For every rotation the engine goes through a complete cycle.
2. There is a piston inside whose only job is to compress the fuel (any type of fuel) and then the power stroke takes place in a turbo like setup surrounding the piston.

3. This engine is an official contender for the Progressive Automotive X Prize which awards 10 million dollars to the first person to make a 100 mpg car mass produceable.

1. sooo.... has this thing actually been made... or is it just a computer model... how much horsepower does it put out... how much torque... has it been put into anything... their website is kindof lame for something so groundbreaking... there seems to be absolutely no other information out there on it...

2. This engine is still in the development stages. There is long distance between here and production. I don't have any new information on it. I just thought it looked cool and would make a nice screen saver.
