First-Hand Experience With HP Gains From Additive

The product we saw in action was Stanadyne’s Performance formula diesel additive.

I didn’t think it would make a difference, but once added to the truck’s fuel tank in between dyno runs, and allowed to sit and idle for 5-10 minutes, which apparently gave it enough time to stir, we made 7 more hp and 15 more lb-ft. Then, subsequent pulls on the dyno backed up our new numbers.

So, if you’re in the beginning stages of the “diesel performance bug,” and want to see if you can squeeze a few more ponies out of your 250-350 hp rig, try some additive. And, of course, let us know which additive you used, as well as if it does anything for you.
