Never Change Oil Again

The Eliminator Filter made by Alfa Laval increases engine oil life from 250 hours to 4,000 hours.

The Eliminator Filter screens the incoming oil and then sends it through a spinning centrifuge which separates the oil from the dirt. The dirt is compacted into a little cake to be disposed of. The unit is self powered by the incoming oil pressure. Think of all the benefits:

1. No expensive filters
2. Less downtime
3. Prolongs engine life

This system combined with Cummins Centinel system would make an excellent combination. The Cummins system extracts small amounts of the used oil and then burns it in the engine. It replaces the old oil with new oil. Oil analysis can keep track of the oil quality and give you peace of mind in case you feel guilty about not changing the oil.This system is designed for over the road trucks and marine applications but I would want one.

1. This would make sense for a marine diesel more than an on road engine. Which brings me to my next question. Why dont I seen marine diesels in diesel power? Thats the greatest honor a diesel gets, your saying you trust your diesel enough to go 30-60 miles offshore run all day and get you back safely. Plus, diesels get HUGE on ships. You should do a build up of a marine diesel(maybe a Cummins 6BTA or Detroit) and you could tie it into you F-350 tow rig build. Seeing how well it tows and mpg's and what not. My last and maybe most important question is Why is their a prarie dog sitting on top of the Eliminator filter? If you read this, thanks for listening.

3. That is the way it came from the site. Plus gopher's are cool they look like they are about to start talking. They said protects "oil life protects wildlife." I am outdoorsmen in the Hemmingway/Teddy Roosevelt sense not in the Al Gore sense there is a difference.

No I have not learned Photoshop. Technology is hard. And SmokenGun I would like to get into Marine diesel. I've been thinking about buying a boat and then sailing to Minnesota. There are two different routes to get there Mississippi or Great Lakes. One could go down from Hudson Bay so I guess that makes three (if they are willing to portage).

4. Prairie Dogs do talk. I heard a group of them grumbling amongst themselves as I chased after them as a kid in South Dakota (family vacation). I'm in for the trip to MN, but we shouldn't have to sail, we should let a clattering little diesel propel us there. Logging onto Ebay...

5. Haha...not havent learned photoshop, but that gophers pretty awesome! I completey agree with you! Al gore spews more hot air than every engine on earth!!! I think we show send him to the moon personally. He can tell all the moon rocks how he invented the environment. I love nature and exploring with certain types of conservation(nothing radical). I love to adventure and explore. Having lived around the Great Lakes my whole life id say go that route, but what ever you decide on will be great with me. Trust me, the feeling you get from pulling out of a big harbor and throttling up twin diesels and hearing them roar will make it all worth it!

7. Little diesel huh...like a 1.8L Isuzu? Or are you searching for a new project vehicle(Ebay). Hope its the ladder! Sail. No. Ride shotgun on twin Cummins, Detroit, or CAT, etc. Diesels crusine at 30 knots. YES. You from MN?

8. Yep Minnesota. I used to work at a golf course and we would do violence to the gophers kind of like on Caddy Shack.

11. Minnesota is a place id like to visit(during the summer), im suprised I havent been there yet since I live farely close. Is it like MI(norther MI)? So a Steyr monoblock huh, 4 or 6 cyl.? I looked into their website and they seem good. Im assuming you have plans for a smaller boat them? single or twine engine? That would be a great project that no one would have really heard of. If you cant or dont want to answers any question then thats cool, I like being suprised when I get D power in the mailbox. I read all the blog posts bye the way. I dont comment when I dont have anything useful to say. I really enjoyed the Dakar updates. Ow ya Mike, ever have a dream were your torn apart by fur little rodents?....sry had to ask.
