Meet the Safari Expedition model GXV Unimog. This thing’s awesome! I’ll never have one, but it’s simply awesome…

Lets start with its Diesel Power. It’s powered by a water-cooled, turbocharged, intercooled 6.4L Mercedes-Benz 6 cylinder (probably making 210 hp) and coupled with a fully synchronized transmission (brand unknown), 16 forward gears, 12 reverse. It’s built on a Unimog U-500 chassis. And, it just happens to have Unimog portal axles for optimum ground clearance and gear reduction. Selectable front and rear inter-axle differential lock should also help this beast go pretty much anywhere.

It’s 26-feet long, has a 154-inch wheelbase, and has a 31½-foot turning radius.

It’s also no slouch. Top speed is 70 mph on the highway… And since it’ll do 70 mph, I think Diesel Power should be allowed to travel cross-country in it, avoiding highways wherever possible, of course.
