This weekend I managed to get quite a bit of work done here at the mag…

First, we installed one of CFMPlus’ intake manifolds on an ’02 7.3L Power Stroke, then we put one of BD Diesel’s crank case vent filter kits on the same F-250 at Diesel Tech. Both were a breeze to install and are good basic DIY mods we’ll be doing write-ups on.

After that it was time to tend to our old ’97. First, we put her up on Diesel Tech’s lift and addressed my downpipe issue. Under braking and flexing while cruising down the highway the firewall would sit and bounce on the downpipe, creating quite an obnoxious noise. So, we simply beat the firewall until the pipe had 1/2-inch clearance all the way around it.

After that my hubs were painted black to both make the truck look good wearing its new Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels, and to hide the worn, rusty look they were previously sporting.
