Power Stroke Power Recipe(s) Pt. 2

Moving On To 6.0L’s

For the September issue we’ll be continuing on with some Power Stroke power recipes, only this time for the 6.0L…

Once again, it will be for those on $1,500, $2,500, $5,000, and/or $10,000 budgets.

Like we did with the 7.3L suggestions, we want to offer some good mods, but still provide a reliable, long-lasting truck. And, while head studs can be a budget-blower, EGR delete kits are reasonably affordable, and rid the 365 ci mill of some of its performance ailing burden.

One good thing about 6.0L/6.4L’s equipped with automatics is that with the right tuning, the Torqshift can survive horse power levels up into the 500-plus range (as opposed to upgrading an E4OD or 4R100 before virtually any serious power levels can be made).

Feel free to chime in with suggestions…

PS – After our power recipe sections conclude for the Power Strokes, we’ll delve into the Cummins, then the Duramax, so stay tuned…
