More Midwest Coverage

Events, Shops, Trucks!

I’m no travel-master, but I’ve noticed peculiar differences among different diesel owners in my travels…

John Deere pull
Hitch Height

With a soft spot for sled pulling, and having grown up around it in the rural Midwest (where it started), I’ve always wanted to showcase that aspect more in the magazine. But not only that, I think there’s a distinct difference in the way people build their trucks in middle America than out west.

It’s my goal to not only get back to the Midwest often to cover events, but also to pull feature trucks from this area and visit some truly innovative shops doing what they do best out in the heartland: diesel power.

That being said, I head back home tomorrow to prepare for the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza, grab some features of trucks creating some noise in the diesel community, and visit a few select shops getting it done out in corn country.
