Alcohol-Ethanol and Camelina

The end of gas stations and another reason why prohibition was a really bad idea.

Microfueler

The Microfueler is a small ethanol refinery you can own. At their website is a video which says when Henry Ford came out with the Model T it was first designed to run on alcohol-ethanol farmers across this country produced. Then prohibition came and made stills illegal. Then we had to buy foreign oil and go into the trade deficit we find ourselves in today.

Having farmers grow fuel as well as food would definitely help rural areas in the U.S.

Camelina is a crop us diesel guys can get behind. It is similar to alfalfa in that you sow seed and that is about all you need to input (no fertilizers or water or tilling). Farmers in Montana and Idaho rotate camelina inbetween wheat. The camelina grows faster than the weeds so it makes the wheat stronger the next time it is planted. The seeds are 40% oil and 25% high quality protein feed. So technically it is a food crop and a fuel crop at the same time.

Great Plains-The Camelina Company is looking for farmers to join them.
