Rust Bucket Breaks 400 hp!

Guess what?  After three trips to the dyno over a series of months, an injector swap, and a few other things, Rust Bucket is finally over 400 hp at the wheels.  Way over.

I know that may not seem all that impressive when 500-600 hp is common nowdays, but keep in mind this truck has a stock upgraded turbo, a stock downpipe, stock head bolts and head gasket, and a 727 torqueflite with a non-lockup converter.  It also weighs almost 2000 pounds less than newer trucks, so it feels pretty dang fast.  Soon we'll be installing an overdrive and hitting the quarter mile.  Our trick to break 400 hp?  Pretty simple actually.  A lot of bottle pressure and big injectors.

Next up on the list of modifications will be an effort to work on our kind of weak fuel only number, and try to boost it up to about 350 hp at the wheels.
