Or is better to round up some useable axles, steel, and start from scratch?
I ask because, well, a lot of our readers tow, and obviously know what works and doesn’t work.
The other reason I ask is because I’m no metal fabricator, nor welder (although I’d like to be), so feel free to let us know what you’d recommend.
Our thinking as of right now is a disc-braked, tandem axle rated at at least 10,000 pounds.
