What To Do

Retiring, Resting, or Re-powering?

This pristine condition Jeep Grand Cherokee was recently donated to the McGlothlin low-desert farm, and I’m yet to decide what to do with it…

The donation was made courtesy of Feature Editor Jason Thompson, who (rightfully so) loves Project 300 more than this old ride. Thompson has made it very clear that I can do whatever I want with it (or at least that’s the way I interpreted it). Below is a list of options; one of them may decide this fine vehicle’s fate in the near future.

A) Roll it down a hill (an idea originally pondered by Thompson himself—to test the strength of a Jeep with no roof).

B) Drive it like you stole it.

C) For the love of God, find a diesel powertrain for it!

D) It’s gas-powered. Trash it, or strip and recycle it.

E) Leave it the hell alone! Thompson is the man—don’t mess with him.

A true pivotal point in Diesel Power Magazine’s history, YOU decide which option best suits a mechanically sound, (albeit altered in appearance) vehicle.

PS – Option E is very possible. Thompson is like the Zohan.
