An aftermarket transducer adapter harness. On our 6.7L’s NADP Heavy Hauler transmission, it intercepts the factory line pressure signal, and ramps it up for firmer shifts. Of course, our new performance 68RFE has superior clutch packs and friction disks inside, but gone are the days of drilling holes in your valvebody to firm up, relax, or smooth out shifts.
NADP also provided us good information about Clutch Volume Index (CVI), which is the measurement of the amount of fluid required to fill the clutch and stroke the piston for each shift. CVI is also a measurement in time of how long it takes to complete a shift. The TCM monitors all of this and times how long it takes to compress the clutch pack (to change the gear ratio) while accelerating.
PS- Should we call our new project vehicle ”Project 6.7L” or should it be labeled something else?
