Try a DeStroked version. Andrew McGibbon’s ’09 F-350 was purchased brand new with a Triton V-10 and a ZF-6 speed manual—for a reason. Immediately after buying the truck he dropped it off at DeStroked in Colorado to let Scott Countryman work his magic on it. An ’04 5.9L common-rail Cummins was fitted into the Super Duty, and it looks like the truck came from the factory that way.
Although the ZF-6 speed needed a diesel-specific bell-housing to make it work, the conversion came out flawless. Andrew owns an 80,000 acre ranch in southern Arizona and spends most of his time off the pavement, which is why he wanted the Ford chassis (which he believes holds up better off-road than a Dodge). But, he also wanted nothing to do with the 6.4L and all of the new emissions equipment, and being that his family owns more than a dozen Dodge pickups, he knew he wanted Cummins power.
