A 2011 F-350 powered by the new 6.7L Power Stroke. The truck came from Woodhouse Ford in Blair, Nebraska, and a couple members of its staff drove the truck some 430 miles to us. How’s that for customer service?!
Anyway, as I make my way over to the shop to take a look at it, I’m formulating a plan for the truck. Because it will be the original version of the 6.7L Power Stroke (with 390 hp and 735 lb-ft), we’ll get it on the dyno immediately, then receive the 400 hp/800 lb-ft update from Ford, and dyno again to see what the real difference is. This should prove whether or not all the hype about the high output version is warranted.
From there, we’re going to hit the local drag strip for more data gathering.
Now, what to name it?
