It’s Scott Vorhees’ Big Bad Dodge Super Stock pulling truck. We learned today (thanks to Competitiondiesel.com) that the truck has been sold, and he’s retiring from the pulling game. The transfer of ownership is set to take place later this year.
For a long time, the Ohio-born Big Bad Dodge has been one of the few Super Stock trucks dwelling on the West Coast. We watched it perform at many events, and it always marked the high point of the action. The fact that its driver, Scott, was classy, knowledgeable, and a friendly guy didn’t hurt matters either. We’re glad to know the truck will still be in good hands though…
“The new owner, who will take possession at the end of this season, will certainly take care of it and will most likely be able to attend more events than I would be able to in the future.
As for me, I have been in the sled-pulling arena approximately 10 years. I have met several great folks and made numerous new friends and have had a blast along the way, all the while hoping that I have helped push diesel performance along somewhat by making it the slightest bit more visible. I am not a diesel mechanic nor have I ever claimed to be one, so my contribution is on the backs of those fine supporters who are diesel performance enthusiasts, shop owners, vendors etc… way to many to mention here.
I am most certainly going to miss attending events and the camaraderie that has become a part of my life.”
