It’s just another 700+ hp 6.4L out there in the world mixing it up with the Dodge and GM competition.

Want to know the best part? This ’08 F-250 tows a Dodge Viper to the autocross track and quarter-mile drag strip, but then gets unhooked and runs neck-and-neck with the 8.3L exotic for 1,320 feet!

The truck has a four-link front suspension, has been dropped 2-inches, makes 750 hp at the wheels, gets 24 mpg on the highway, all while being permanently set on kill…

2. That trucks freakin beautiful!!! I always love a good dark blue truck! I love the looks of that truck and trucks like it. Simple, clean, elegant, sharp, and all while being mean too. Being simple and understated says a lot more (im my mind) than trying way to hard to be cool. The truck/owner is doing it right :)

I would have taken pics of it infront of a lake or something (blue color), buts that just me (im a water dog at heart).

So when do we hear whos in the next DPC?

Ive been keeping an eye on that CompD thread, but whens the official list and details coming out? Heard its being held pretty high up ;)

4. Glad to see the blue oval churning good numbers but like white lightning asked what is he doing to get 24mpg???? I can't wait until July to find out I need more fuel savings now!

5. This is probably one of the best looking trucks I've shot photos of in a while. The clean, low-key look really makes the truck.

The 24 mpg was achieved thanks to a gear change. It's now running 3.31's, which combined with a hot tune (and driving the truck easy = straight highway) made for a pretty efficient trip.

The 24 mpg was hand-calculated, too.

6. Ah I see. I kinda had a sneaking suspicion after I logged off, but I didn't think you could get 3.31 until 2011 model year. 3.31 gears plus a double overdrive tranny is definitely the ticket to mileage. Lowering it definitely helped too, and it looks like a short bed from that picture so he's saving on some weight there and saving more weight by only going extended cab not king cab. The tires aren't monster mudders either. I know of a Cummins getting over 30mpg, not sure of horsepower numbers but he's got twins and big injectors.

7. Yes, it's definitely hard to believe great mileage numbers like that sometimes. But with hard data (hand-calculated) it's hard to argue with it.

And you pin-pointed it: lowered, lighter, higher gearing. The truck actually weighs 7,900 pounds still though! Pretty sure a full, 48-gallon fuel tank and driver are included in that number though.
