What's Your Favorite Tool?

What is your favorite tool? What tool can't you live without? What tool do you find yourself always picking up day in day out? I keep my tools in multiple tool boxes instead of a big rolling chest. Chests are heavy and non portable. I've never had my own place to work so I travel with my tools a lot. If I have a job to do I just grab the tool boxes I know I need. I like the plastic tool boxes.

1. BFH Big F-ing Hammer

2. Ratchet Wrench

3. Temperature gun (measures temperatures, just point, shoot and get a reading

4. Pogo Stick (bodywork tool basically a big stick with a bumper on one end and a place to slip in a chain for pulling bumpers, fenders, and what have you)

5. Scan tool

6. Older ratchets and sockets- seams like the older the ratchet the stronger it is. Objects pick up energy as they age. I like using the SK set my grandpa gave me.

7. Steel square bar about 4 feet long

8. Breaker bar

9. A big gear puller-the bigger the better.

10. A big vernier caliper

1. 1) Screwdrivers. I have a craftsman set with all kinds of sizes. I find I always pull one out the entire time I work on my truck. Regardless of what I'm doing.

2) Stanley socket set. I got this set when I was 14, and I still use it daily.

3) Wrenches. If a socket won't get it, a wrench will.

4) 4lb engineering hammer. Heavy and effective.

5) 6-in Crescent brand pliers. They are my "Magic Pliers" and I use them ALL the time.

6) Pocket knife. Always carry it, always use it.

7) Torque-wrench

8) pry-bar

9) 3-ton Jack

10) 500watt shop light

2. I could list a lot, but the real answer is my Leatherman WAVE tool. It goes everywhere with me, never leaves my side, and I find myself using it pretty much every single day.

5. a sharp pocket knife
6. Craftsman wrench set (metric & standard
7. set of nut drivers

4. I think I use my knife the most, then needle nose, I use Wrenches alot, mallet is used alot, who can really have one (or 2-3 etc) tool thats above them all?

5. Leatherman Core is with me 24/7. In my pickup I have 1/4" and 1/2" drive ratchets with full sets of metric and standard, full sets of metric and standard wrenches, assorted screwdrivers, 8" and 12" Crescent wrenches, allen wrenches, two ball-peen hammers and a 3 pound mini sledge, punches and chisels, and a Mag Light.

6. It doesn't matter if I'm working on my truck or my motorcycle. I will always use my craftsman screwdriver with socket attachment.
