My name is Chelsey Hennig I am 20 years old and I am a female diesel
enthusiast from Barrie, Ontario Canada.

I have always been around engines, from snowmobiles to diesel motors and have always been exposed to them. Ever since my dad put me on a snowmobile when I was 3 years old I have always had this love for cars & trucks and anything that goes fast, specifically trucks. When the
first LB7 Duramax came out, my dad bought an 02 which we still have today and which I fell in love and where my diesel enthusiasm began. Now I cannot say I work on my truck like the previous girls do as I am in university going through to be a lawyer, but however I do work on to my max potential it when it needs it.

On my spare time I am always doing something diesel related, whether it's going to shows, pulls or
just cleaning/ working on the truck or helping a buddy with their truck. There aren't many girls who own a diesel truck, or even work on diesel trucks or trucks for that matter now-a-days and I am really interested in trying to break the trend of diesel trucks being a man thing; I always get hassle day-to-day about being a small blonde girl driving a big truck & someday somehow, I'd like to become a promoter for women  in diesel related careers, diesel motor sports & women who
own & drive a diesel truck. Like Heather Powell said perfectly "I'd like to let women know that they aren't alone in this world when it comes to being a lady diesel enthusiast. So for all the ladies reading this just remember, anything a man can do a woman can do better."

Original message she sent for Readers' Diesels section:

This is my 07.5 Chevrolet 2500HD with about 60,000kms on it. It's fully loaded with a 6" Pro Comp suspension lift, Pro Comp traction bars, Pro Comp skid plate, Fox shocks, 37" Toyo open country m/t's, 20" XD series rims. 5" MBRP turbo back exhaust to 6" tip, EGR deleted, tuned with PPE hot lmm on level 3 & using the Banks IQ as a monitor, hopefully soon I'll get EFI live! It has RBP grille & Gauges ( took the star off ), HID hi/lo kit. The interior of my truck is custom red on black, bought it like that it was awesome!

I've had it for about a year now but have been around Duramax's since... well since they came out as my dad has an 02 LB7 that he's had since brand new and has had various others. I use the truck mainly from getting to point A to B with snowmobiles and atv's, and of course pulling my friends out of the mud haha.

I'd have to say my favorite mod would have to be the PPE tuner, it made a world of a difference for the truck. I ran it on the dyno after tuning the truck it put down 395hp & 1219tq which ties into my favorite diesel story, while at the dyno I was the only person with a Duramax as I guess it was a Cummins gathering, and I was the only girl with a diesel running the dyno. While backing up onto the rollers, I could hear the faint giggles and sarcastic remarks from some of the men standing around and as my numbers came up they were in shock that a girls truck just beat some of  their numbers;  their remarks quickly stopped. It was quite liberating, and awesome.   My truck also won North American Diesel Performance's March Truck of the Month contest.

Where I live there aren't many girls who own diesel trucks, my friend has an LBZ both her and I on a daily basis have to explain to someone that yes, we drive a diesel truck. It's nice to break the trend of mainly men driving big ole trucks !
