In a pinch, it is the ultimate rescue device. Using stainless steel wire (the same stuff they use for o-rings) you can use this tool to make a wire clamp with 10 times the holding force of a regular clamp. We've seen a radiator hose clamped to a fuel line, clamped to a pen, and you couldn't pull any of them apart, even though they were vastly different sizes. We plan on fooling around with this tool in the future to see if we can keep intercooler boots on our 95 Dodge. We can bet there were more than a few people who wish they had something like this on the track, trails, or while towing. They even have a large version that is used to repair sailboats.
