I wonder what diesel engine they'll put in the ’13 Cadillac ATS Diesel? Maybe the same one that's supposed to go in the Cruze?

Here's an article from The Truth About Cars. In it Bob Lutz throws a wet blanket on the diesel movement. He's probably jealous because he didn't think of it first?

I contacted Jeff Breneman from The U.S. Coalition for Advanced Diesel Cars. Hopefully we can join our forces.

I also contacted GM for more information.

3. The Dodge Dart (gas=booo!) has Fiat's Multi-Air engine. They have a diesel version that also has (limited) variable valve technology and it burns very clean. I wonder if they'll get in the ring or bow out like wussies?

Also, the new Dodge Dakota compact pickup will have a diesel.

Will it be a 4-banger, a VM Motori V6, or will the fabled Cummins V6 and V8 engines turn up?

Is there any point? They'll probably both have 4's. Meh.

5. On another note, this is supposed to compete with the BMW 3-series.

If it's going to compete with the 335d, it needs a 300+ hp diesel. V6 or V8? Definitely no room for a 4-banger if they're really aiming for the 3-series.

6. We were just talking about all the options yesterday during a meeting. Sounds like 1/2 ton diesels are back in the works.

I don't have any new information on the mini-dmax.

Nissan Titan is supposed to get a I-4 Cummins.
