This Audi A3 we got to test drive is an amazing machine. The TDI's fuel pedal feels like and is as tempting as dipping your foot, arms, and face into a honey pot like Pooh bear. Hard to keep the speed down. The transmission is awesome. We need one like this for our trucks.
I started at the office in El Segundo on a full tank.

The speed limit is 80 mph and that's about what we're going on the highways.
We used the Audi A3 on the ride and drive portion of the Diesel Power Challenge. We went 160 miles on the 70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel. We didn't downshift once. I think it likes to go faster uphill. Maybe its from being in the mid-west but I'd like to hook a trailer to this car and see how it pulls. This car is a rocket and lots of fun to drive!
The rental Versa had its gas pedal pinned climbing to 11,000 feet but the Diesel A3 didn't even break a sweat. They Versa got 31 mpg and we got 41 mpg. What would you rather have?
