New age diesel vehicle tuning is in full swing, and we recently started fiddling with yet another iPhone app...
This one comes from SCT and is called its iTSX. In addition to what most vehicle apps do, this app also lets you tune your ’99 to ’10 Power Stroke with pre-loaded, dyno-proven tunes. You can pick up an additional 110 hp at the wheels on 7.3L and 6.4L engines, and as much as 150 hp on 6.0L mills.
In addition to performance calibrating, you can run performance tests (quarter-mile and eighth-mile ET/MPH tests, 0-60, top speed test, braking test), monitor your engine in real time via virtual gauges, and read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
The iTSX system comes with a wireless OBD-II interface that plugs into the data link on your truck, and communicates with your iPhone, iPod, or iPad.
