We might've come up a few ponies shy of 500, but we nearly doubled our ’06 LBZ's horsepower with just a tune...

Yesterday we dyno'd Fleece Performance's EFILive-created extreme tune and came away with 475 hp and 848 lb-ft at the wheels. Keep in mind, we're running 35-inch mud-terrains on the truck, which may rob a little power. With a set of stock wheels and tires on the truck we might've seen 500 hp.

In order to get the most out of the tuning, the fuel rail valve was shimmed, an AirDog system was added, and so was an EGR blocker plate and PCV re-route.

On the street we see boost peak at 33 pounds, rail pressure hold 24,000+ psi, and the truck rips (luckily, the traction bars for it showed up yesterday...). Next up, a turbo upgrade and back to the rollers.

The Numbers

Stock: 254 hp at 3,000 rpm

Now: 475 hp at 3,000 rpm

Gains: 221 hp, 382 lb-ft
