We found a trio of S300's (built by Midwest Truck Products) tucked away under the hood of Randall's Performance and Accessory's ’06 Dodge project truck over the weekend...
Up top, two atmospheric 63mm units act like the equivalent of an S480 in an S480/S364 compound arrangement (for example). The manifold charger is a 66mm unit. A full competition engine from Industrial Injection features a crankcase girdle, billet rods, a fully ported head, is fire-ringed, the works...
The rock-solid engine is fueled courtesy of 300 hp nozzles and dual 85% over CP3s, and tuned using Smarty's new SSR.
On the street the triples make 90 psi of boost, and thanks to a set of Carli Suspension's Cummins motor mounts, the engine doesn't rock back and forth under throttle. This not only helps keep all the plumbing for the triples stationary, but makes the truck and engine feel as one.
Although the truck fought a slight rail pressure issue, it still made 871 hp on the dyno. With the eventual goal being to make 1,000-rwhp on fuel, we don't see that being a problem once all the injection system bugs are worked out.
