I hope everyone had a great 4th of July yesterday. As part of my pre-holiday celebration, I headed west and took in a sled pull over in Rushville, IL on Tuesday night...
The ITPA event hosted two of my favorite classes: the 3.0 trucks and the 10,000-pound Pro Stock tractors. Unfortunately for my iPhone, it couldn't keep up with a hard-charging Rod Tarr, whose common-rail second-gen took Second Place (and moved the sled 365 feet). On a typical, humid Midwestern night, the track only got better and better, and as the last truck to hook, Chris Muhs' Dodge blasted to a 382-foot finish for First.
This Friday, the 3.0 trucks will be meeting up with the 20,000-pound Pro Stock Semi class over in Missouri.
