Project Sleepermax is back, and back with vengeance! We did some dyno testing yesterday on a "tow" tune, with an .080 jet of nitrous, and the truck made a whopping 818rwhp!
The kicker is that the turbos weren't even working hard, and we weren't even burning all the fuel we had. The dyno graph actually looks like an aborted run, but the truth is the truck is just turned down that much! We expect 1200-1300rwhp at full tilit, but are trying to limit it right now at 800rwhp for reliabilities' sake.
We've kept it pretty quiet, but we're going after the World Record for the fastest speed while towing a trailer (currently 139mph) so we need a sustainable 800rwhp with EGT in check.
More dyno runs are coming in a few at 70psi and no nitrous.....
For now here's the video, and I must say, those Garrett turbos have to be about the best sounding chargers ever!
