After speaking with the Scheid Diesel crew recently, they told us they plan to (once again) run the 6-second dragster in the National Hot Rod Association's (NHRA) Top Dragster Class at several venues. Their first stop will be Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis the weekend of April 27-29. There, they'll be looking to make the 32-car field in qualifying, and put up consistent 6.75-second quarter-mile times. Since first being allowed to run with the NHRA back in 2009, the Scheid dragster has been well received by both competitors and fans. We can't think of a better way to catapult diesel motorsports into the mainstream than this.
