FICM Testing

Next week we'll be conducting some FICM testing on Project Outcast...

Tuned and higher voltage FICM's (fuel injection control module) are said to be a good way to squeeze that last ounce of fuel out of stock 6.0L injector nozzles, and still add horsepower. Our aim with these tests is to answer three very common questions 6.0L Power Stroke owners typically ask:

 1. Does it really add horsepower to an already-tuned truck? (we'll hit the dyno)

 2. Does it improve fuel economy? (we'll be logging our mileage)

 3. Does throttle response really improve? (we'll know this immediately if it does)

We'll be testing Innovative Diesel's new FICM Flash programmer, a 58-volt FICM, and a Stage 1 (also 58-volt) FICM from Elite Diesel Engineering.
