The second generation Wicked Wheel is a redesigned, billet compressor wheel for stock '94.5 to '03 7.3L Power Stroke turbos, and one will be released February 5th for the popular aftermarket Garrett GTP38R charger. This brings us to the Wicked Wheel 2's test results on a modified 7.3L test mule... According to the chassis dyno at Power Hungry Performance, a truck fitted with 250/200 hybrid injectors, Adrenaline high-pressure oil pump, CPR fuel system, GTP38R, and Power Hungry's tuning made 540-rwhp, then made 603-rwhp with the Wicked Wheel 2 installed, picking up an incredible 63hp. Check out the dyno graph below.
Wheels are also available for stock turbos (TP38 on '94.5 to '97 engines and early '99, and GTP38 on '99.5 to '03 engines), and are said to make a noticeable difference in performance as well. We're looking to secure a relatively stock '99.5 to '03 Super Duty to conduct our own testing on with the stock turbo vs. Wicked Wheel 2 upgrade.
